Recently I had the privilege of writing the foreword to Brian Sauder’s new book on fasting, “Hungry for God.” I have known Brian Sauder for more than forty years and have been privileged to walk alongside him in various areas of leadership. Brian writes this book on fasting from a position of spiritual authority because he lives what he writes. Fasting is not mere theory for him. The truths that he shares with conviction and passion have been tested on the anvil of his own personal experience. I have read many books on prayer and fasting during my years in Christian leadership and ministry. But Hungry for God is my favorite book on fasting. It is biblical, practical and written by a true practitioner who practices what he preaches. I highly recommend this book to you!

A great new resource available from Brian Sauder on fasting!Are you hungry for more of God?

Do you want to hear His voice more clearly? Do you long for more of His power? Fasting will make a dramatic difference in your life. In Hungry for God, Brian Sauder shares the invitation he received from the Lord and the revelations he gained about Christians who fast. The benefits are many. Closeness to the Lord. Direction. Breakthrough. New opportunities. A supernatural life. All of these are not just theory; they are realities experienced by those who choose a lifestyle of fasting.

Be inspired by the stories of Christians just like you who have fasted, with amazing results. Learn about the biblical call to fasting and the practical steps to achieve your targets in fasting. Discover common mistakes and why some Christians never break through to the "good part" of fasting. You will learn how to strengthen your prayer life and how fasting itself becomes a wordless prayer.

Hungry for God is an important read for those who want to take their next step in Christ. This book will change your life!

Ron Myer’s recent blog;
What is God thinking? What are you thinking? There really shouldn’t be too much gap between the two.

Paul tells the Corinthian church that “….we have the mind of Christ.” I Cor 2:16. If I truly have the mind of Christ, then I really should be thinking His thoughts! About myself, about others, and about situations.

So, if what you are thinking isn’t drawing you closer to God and fulfilling His plan and purpose for your life, then what you are thinking can’t be God.

And, when you are faced with a challenge and not sure how to proceed, remember, you have the mind of Christ. Maybe the first thing you need to do is stop, acknowledge that you have His mind, focus on Him and He will direct your steps! At least that is the way it works for me!

Christ desires to renew our mind so that we would think like Him and invite Him into our everyday thoughts and decisions!Ron Myer’s recent blog;
