Zambia – Dan and Regina Bumstead
Dan and Regina Bumstead have given their lives to serving the least and the lost – the poor, the orphans, the hungry; and the people unreached by the gospel of Life. Since 2009 they have lived and served among the Toka people of Zambia – a people of little education, deep traditional beliefs, low life expectancy and severe poverty. They have two orphan homes, community gardens, a growing child sponsorship program and various development programs. They are also catalyzing an indigenous church planting movement – simple, obedience based house churches that are led by the local uneducated people. The Bumsteads have pioneered this work and started a rustic base in the village along the mighty Zambezi River where the wild animals still walk free, to the delight of the many Western teams and interns who come to serve with them. They are particularly praying for some long term servants who will serve in the areas of administration and site maintenance and development.
