How is your day going? One of the things that I have learned over the years is that my bad days are 24 hours long just like my good ones. Sometimes the best thing for me to do is to just get to bed! Tomorrow is a new day! His mercy and grace is totally new tomorrow. YEAH!

I like what Peter says in 1 Peter 1:6-7 So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

The bold and underlined are the parts that really speak to me and I trust that they are encouraging to you as well. Sometimes we miss the importance of and the reasons that we go through some of the things we do. Never lose sight of the fact that there are a far more greater things taking place than just what you can see in front of you. Sometimes we can be so myopic in our thinking that we lose sight of the bigger picture. God is a big picture God and is always looking at far more than we are. So, the next time things seem to be difficult, be truly glad! As you are going through it, you are proving that your faith is truly genuine, more precious than mere gold, and it will bring you much praise, honor and glory in the future. After all, the God we serve it truly a good God, no good thing will He withhold from those who truly love Him.
