MISSIONS INTERNSHIPS

Serve for six months in another nation

Be trained  •  Serve overseas  •   Study along the way

Our vision for the DOVE USA Missions internship program is to see more young people engage in missionary service, serve DOVE missionaries and churches around the world, and develop cross-cultural awareness and communication. To date, sixteen interns have completed internships in South Africa, Germany, Scotland, and Guatemala.

“I will always remember one night at youth group when people were surrendering to God. I was in awe of what the Lord was doing that night.”

Jonathan served House of Praise in Cape Town, South Africa. He served the youth group and led basketball outreaches. He also led Bible studies for the youth in his community and mentored young men in the Chain Breakers Cycle Club.

High school graduates aged 18+ with pastor recommendation

There are assignments that you will need to submit to DOVE USA Missions before and throughout your internship. These include an initial research paper on your country of assignment, reading and reporting on missions-themed books each month, and a final assignment evaluating your internship experience.

An account will be established at the DOVE USA Missions office, and we will issue receipts to donors. You will receive a monthly stipend from this account. As you prepare for your internship, we will give you fundraising advice.
The startup cost includes round-trip flight, visa, medical insurance, and study materials.
Monthly costs include rent, utilities, groceries, phone, local travel, minor medical needs, personal expenses, and tithe.

Travel insurance will be purchased for you prior to departure.

DOVE USA Missions will assist with obtaining a visa.

This will be arranged after acceptance into the program, as it depends on how many interns serve together.

It is recommended that you do not return to the USA during this program. You will be expected to take a day off each week. Friends or family may wish to visit, but we suggest no more than one such visit during your stay so as not to detract from the purpose of your time.

Please apply at least four months prior to the start of an internship.

Why so early? We want to help you prepare for your internship! This includes pre-departure meetings and training, and it also gives you plenty of time to fundraise.
