Mike and Pam Rittle, Cell leaders at the Fireplace Christian Fellowship
A few years ago, God impressed my husband Mike and me of the need to pray for the salvation of Mike’s family. Periodically, God would awaken Mike at 3 a.m. to pray for them.
During holiday gatherings, Mike’s family always asked him to pray for the meals. Following Thanksgiving 2009, God again awakened Mike at 3 a.m. and increased the burden for his family. Mike sensed that God wanted him to share a message with his family at the Christmas dinner.
At the family’s Christmas 2009 dinner, Mike was again asked to pray for the meal. Before he prayed, Mike told them that God had been waking him up at 3 a.m. to pray for them, and that God wanted him to share something with them.Mike shared the plan of salvation with everyone gathered together. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
Since then, six members of Mike’s family have accepted Jesus into their hearts as their Lord and Savior and have begun to attend Fireplace Christian Fellowship
A few months ago, Mike and I started a new cell group with his family members. Our cell name is Search and Rescue and is based on two scriptures: Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost . . . . “ and Ephesians 6:17-20 “Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.”
We continue to pray for more family members to come into the Kingdom. Please join us in praying.
