As I was praying this morning, I heard this phrase, “surrounded and saturated in the depth of His love”. That phrase came to me upon reading 1 Peter 2:8-9 And, “He is the stone that makes people stumble, the rock that makes them fall.” They stumble because they do not obey God’s word, and so they meet the fate that was planned for them. 9 But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. NLT
Without the understanding of the magnitude of love that Jesus has for them, people stumble because they refuse the very love that can set them free. But, you are not like that. You, understanding His tremendous love for you, realize that you are a prized possession of God. And as a prized possession, you can declare to others His goodness, not only toward you, but His goodness toward them. For there was a time when each of us were in darkness but now we are in marvelous light. Allow that light to shine into others.
