With the eclipse upon us today it is all about the lenses that you can view through without causing damage to your eyes. I find a lot of things in life are best viewed through the right heart lens. Here are just a few;

Challenging situations: James 1:2-4  Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

Difficult circumstances:  Rom 8:28-29  And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Wanting things your way: Phil 2:3-4 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

Dealing with angry people: Prov 15:1 A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.

People who think differently than I do: Gen 1:27-28 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Those who don’t know Jesus: 2 Cor 5:16 So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view……

All Cultures of people:  Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

My behavior toward everyone: Gal 5:14-15 For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

When the Word of God is my heart lens though which I view others and life’s circumstances, there is no damage to either but a beautiful picture of the Lord’s mercy and grace! Keep His Word lens on your heart at all times for safe viewing!
