Just a reminder that we are our own boss and make our own decisions and we are responsible for the good and the not so good that come from those decisions. Jesus in inviting us into the “more” that He has for us, but it is up to me personally as to whether I will step into it. The invitation stands, but the decision is mine. In reality, most decisions are mine to be made.
- I choose whether to follow Jesus or not. He invites me, but I chose.
- I choose where to live. Country, state, county, town. Urban or suburban.
- I choose my education.
- I choose where I work.
- I choose whom I will spend my life with.
- I choose my friends.
- I choose whether to react to a situation or respond to the Holy Spirit in any given situation.
- While I cannot choose what others do to me, I can choose my response.
- I choose to get offended or not take offense.
- I choose to be joyful or sad.
- I choose to deal with my attitudes and grow in Christ or stay the same and never change.
- I choose to get angry or respond in love.
- I choose what I put into my physical body.
- I choose what I feed my spirit.
- I choose to focus on the way out of a situation or wallow in the situation.
- I choose steps to reconcile or stay disconnected.
- I choose to yield to Him and His ways or resist Him and His ways.
- I choose what will build up or what will tear down.
- I choose to draw close or push away.
Obviously, there are many more decisions that I make on daily basis, but the choices are mine to make!
Some of the main things that are chosen for me!
- When I am born.
- Where I am born.
- Whose family I am born into.
- Whether I am male or female.
- What are my length of days.
Those decisions are made by the one who is perfect and does all things perfectly! He knows what is best for me!
The rest…… Choose carefully!
