My name is Jonathan Royer, and I am 18 years old. Throughout my life I’ve always had a passion for youth and a passion for sports. I will be traveling to Cape Town, South Africa, in January to serve House of Praise, a DOVE church. During this six-month period, I will help with their youth group, volunteer at an orphanage, mentor people through Joel Smucker’s cycling program, and even take on the challenge of potentially coaching some of the guys in the youth group who have a passion for basketball.
As soon as I heard about Cape Town, I fell in love with the culture and the beauty of it. I’m excited to see how God moves in Cape Town, because He is the same God in Lancaster County as He is in South Africa.
