There came a time in the world where things had reached an all time low. Gen 6:5-8 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. NKJV
Things were really at an all time low. This was the creator of the universe who had no hope that mankind would ever change and was even sorry that He had even created him. We cannot imagine what the spiritual climate on the earth was like at this point in time. It must have been a horrible place to live. But in the midst of the corruption and coming destruction Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
Whatever challenges you are facing this week, remember this, it isn’t as bad as Noah had, and here is the key for you. Seek His face! Seek the presence of the Lord. Of all of mankind, only Noah still sought after the Lord and in doing so he found grace in His sight. And when you find grace in the sight of the Lord, no matter how much corruption and destruction is happening around you, the Lord will give you a plan for an ark that will carry you above it. Seek His face and you’ll receive His grace!! There is tremendous safety in that.
