Change! With us it has been a consistent commodity in our ongoing development and strategy to reach nations. Many times I hear the phrase, the only thing constant is change!

To stay relevant to a society that is changing, you have to be changing with it. Not the truth of the message but the way you communicate that truth. Tide laundry detergent hasn’t changed its vison of being a top brand of laundry detergent from its inception, but they have certainly adapted, changed and morphed the way they communicate that truth and uphold the vision of getting whites whiter, if there is such a thing, consistently through the years. Tide was launched in 1946 and by 1949, till present day, it has been the leading laundry detergent in the USA. Its message has been the same, we are the best, but it messaging has changed, adapted, and stayed relevant to the ever changing culture it was attempting to reach. Just look back on it commercials over the years.

Our message, “Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one gets to the Father except through Him”, is timeless and relevant to all societies, all cultures, through all ages. But our messaging of that truth adapts to the culture and society we are trying to reach. (think Jesus eating with the tax collectors) His messaging was very simple, tax collectors, you too have value and worth and access to a relationship with the Father. How can you communicate that in your context?

We are in the midst of coming out of a strange and possibly life altering point in time. We have made a number of changes in the midst of this to adapt to what was taking place around us. Now we need to ask ourselves the question, what changes do we need to keep, and most importantly, what changes do we still need to make. The message is the same! How we communicate it and work it out in an ever changing world must change and adapt. Let that be constant!
