The amazing Christmas season! For God so loved He gave….. Hard to image the depth of God’s love to the degree that it was manifested over 2000 years ago in the town of Bethlehem. He came to earth with the sole intent and purpose to reunite mankind to the relationship He always desired. He cared so much about His relationship with you and I that He came to earth as a baby with the purpose of destroying the power of darkness, paying the price for your sin and my sin, and thus creating a way for us to become right with God.
You and I were His focus. Andy Stanley writes…. “Most bad church experiences are the result of somebody prioritizing a “view” over a “you”. Something Jesus never did. Jesus was focused on people. Might be best for me to do the same. I had a wonderful conversation with an individual yesterday who visited our worship experience for the first time. They were five days “clean” and looking to extend it far into the future. Yes, they had some challenges to face, but right then, the most important thing to express to them was that Jesus loves them and He has a wonderful future in store as they yield to Him.
Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. As His ambassadors, let’s make sure we don’t misrepresent Him.
