John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (NKJV) What a powerful verse in scripture. Jesus came that we would have life, and not only a mediocre, common ordinary life, but an abundant life filled with promise, excitement, and success. What a positive prospective on life.

It is hard to have a positive prospective on life if I am living within a negative mindset! If I am always thinking negatively, focusing on the many things that are wrong in life, things that potentially could go wrong, problems I am currently facing, or challenges that seem larger than life. If I am continually focusing on these things, it is a major challenge to have a positive outlook, much less maintain an abundant life mindset. It is hard to win when you are constantly concerned and thinking about losing. How can I think victory if I am constantly focusing on the possibility of defeat.

Jesus didn’t have a negative mindset nor was He concerned about the devils activity around Him. He was focused on the positive, what the Father was doing, the opportunities for God to move in the life and circumstances of those around him. If we can posture our hearts and focus our minds on what the Father is doing vs. what the enemy is trying to do, our mindset totally changes from the negative to the positive and our life begins to take on the abundant life that Jesus provided for us. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Who are you?
