Greatness is a choice!
One of David’s mighty men, Benaiah pursued a lion in a pit on a snowy day. He didn’t have to and certainly no one would have blamed him had he run the other way. But he didn’t run from the opportunity, he ran to the opportunity and in doing so it created in others a view of who he really was. His actions proved he was someone who didn’t run from difficulty, he was the guy who ran to the challenge and saw it as an opportunity. He became someone who was wanted on the team. In other words, he brought value in who he was and created a desire in others to have him around. It was the result of what he did. And the Bible says in doing so he won a name among David’s three mighty men. II Sam 23:22. What are you doing right now in your life to create value so that others have a desire to be near you? Be a champion among champions!
