For over 15 years, the youth of DOVE have been investing in the city of Reading via Boot Camp in the early 2000s, or EMT in more recent years. This year we felt the Holy Spirit challenge us to hold a concert for the city. We’ve decided to call it “Night of Hope.” What is a night of hope? It’s a night of community, worship, and evangelism! There will be food, creative arts, worship, and a message of hope (the gospel!). We are asking God for 10 churches to commit to rallying together for this event. (More than 10 are welcome!) We are also believing for salvations, baptisms, and re-dedications to the Lord. And most importantly, that new believers are connected to Bible-believing churches!
Our heart is to hold this event to serve the city and the churches of Reading. The band, Humille, will be leading worship at this event. They are a talented local Reading worship team!
In the midst of a time when our nation is crying out for hope, we are believing the city will meet the One who is Hope. Additionally, we are expectant that, as David said, “Where brothers dwell in unity, God commands a blessing.”
In order to pull off this event, we need $5,000. This includes renting the venue, sound system, paying the band, and other logistical details. We’ve tried to keep it as affordable as possible while still putting together a gathering that feels well done.
Thank you for considering giving to this event!
